it's a shame I don't have cable... it is on cable, right?
either way, I've not followed this show, but I hear great things about it!

I cheered in our living room when Galactica dropped like a brick straight down to launch the vipers. Then when they blew up the guard tower, and then when they got back to Galactica.
The hour was non-stop, starting with Tighe killing his wife. It definitely did start out kind of slow, but they definitely pulled out all the stops this week.
Yup, Sci-fi Jon.

Not feeling the new time slot on this at all. Thankfully Comcast has it On Demand now, because I fell asleep 50 minutes into the mid season premier last week. I tried so hard not to though

I'm the same way Dmiller, I DVR every show I follow. I'm addicted to that thing, Skipping comercials is great. I think this season (or 1/2 season) started out pretty great. That is a great shot of the "Toaster" whose legs are blown off but he is still shooting at the humans!
I honestly have to say that I am not really getting into this whole Apollo / Starbuck thing.... First off that chick that plays Starbuck is so NOT attractive and has way to much of a "rebel with a chip on her shoulder" thing going it drives me crazy. And secondly Apollo's wife is (Pardon the Term) " Frackin' Hot". But I love where this thing is going now with Baltar back in their hands. Should be very good this 1/2 season

I agree with you about Starbuck 100%, but it feels to me that they are setting up her death lately doesn't it? I have no knowledge that they would kill her, so it's not a spoiler or anything, but I just don't see her hanging on much longer.
They STILL haven't been renewed for Season 4 yet, which has me nervous.
I don't DVR as much as I used to because I download them and watch them on the train more. Commuting every day is much easier when you have some good shows to watch. It would be even better if Sci-Fi would hurry up and get a HD channel, or at least convince NBC to air them in HD a day or two after. The quality on Sci-Fi leaves a lot to be desired.

Universal just announced Season 1 on HD-DVD yesterday. Its long been rumoured but is now official. I won't get it unless I can sell my SD set. I'm double dipping enough already

Yeah, I was excited that they finally announced that and Children of Men on HD-DVD. Since I own the SD though, I think I'll wait until the show ends. Ron Moore, in his podcasts, has talked about box set ideas. Hopefully that will be HD-DVD.
