For anyone that is into Sci-fi, I suggest you check this movie out if you get a chance, in my opinion, it's one of Alfonso Cuaran's best.
Clive Owen, Michael Caine, and Chiwetel Ejiofor are all excellent in it, and it may portray one of the most realistic futures we know. Children of Men Official Site.
Also, Pan's Labryinth made number 2 of the list.

I'll refer you to the case of Biteme v. Jackass, in which the defendant was a mongoloid law student who spent her entire days on celebrity gossip websites while her husband milked the cows and made the bacon. I think you know the outcome.

This movie is absolutely amazing. Some of the shots are so freakin incredible that debates are going on as to how they actually filmed them. I can think of three that completely floored me.
And the film itself is also incredibly cool. I really think it was the best movie I've seen in the last year at least.
Just go see it already | |

I choked up a few times for this film. I rarely ever do that. I must see this masterpiece again.

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Age: 24 | I just saw this last night. It was a great movie. I can't say that it was the best of '06, but I don't think I have a better alternative. The Departed was damn good though, and it is a toss up between those two.
I saw it with my g/f, Polok and his ladyfriend. Polok apparently didn't like it all that much, and my g/f liked it, but didn't catch all of it. Funny thing is, the ticket guy was telling up that it would suck and that we had to pay attention if we wanted to understand it. Gee, I thought you were supposed to only pay attention to half of the movie. Stupid ass.
Some of the shots were amazing, and it did a really good job of getting the feeling of no hope across to the audience. It reminded me of Half Life 2 a few times.
