I'm pumped. Just the little teases gave me goosebumps! This is one of those movies that the story could kinda stink but it still would be fun.

I showed my wife and she was excited as well. She said "blockbuster", and I have to agree. It might be the next Independence Day type of movie. With sequels I bet!

Plus, a live action transformers makes SO much sense. I'm glad they didnt make another cartoon....

Anyone who grew up in the 80s that doesnt go see this opening night should be drawn and quartered.

I want to like it, I really do. I've listened to all the internet geeks cry about how they've changed Optimus Prime, and how he looks completely different, and I don't care about that crap. I'm just worried that the dialogue is going to be really cheesy. Special effects wise, it's going to rock out. I have hope though, I'll see it opening week for a good July 4th movie, although Live Free or Die Hard opens the same day, and that's got 80s written all over it too.

One of the guys responsible for writing this Transformers co-wrote MI:3, so who knows, I thought that was pretty good story wise.

Here's what everyoe should do... Buy a ticket to one, and then just sneak into the other (Die Hard/Transformers). I really hope they show both of these on the DLP screens... I'd even take it on the IMAX screen.

I just got into an argument with my cousin today at lunch over sneaking into theatres. For shits sake go the early bird and pay half price. I can't stand when people brag about "sneaking" to see a show they didnt pay for, like they accomplished something important in life, lol.

I havent paid full price for a movie in 10 years and I have no plans on doing so in the future. I cnanot stand the punk ass kids of this generation that are out and about after pm for the most part, and I'll be damned if I pay 8.00 to be surrounded by those punk ass kids I despise, only to be able to see the movie once anyways.

I dont feel slutty paying 4.25 for the early bird Theres usually 5 people and myself, its so relaxing.

4.25? That's amazing. It's like 6.50 down here for manatee, 7.50 for students and 9 for everyone else. If you want a Director's Hall, it's 11! This is a Showcase Cinema. Anyone else have Director's Halls? I think it is only in their "Deluxe" cinemas. You get to pick/are given a specific seat and the seats are leather. Originally, you were supposed to be waited on before the movie, but that never came through.

Oh yes, I know I called it a manatee... that's my loving pet name for them.

The second Monday evening after a movie comes out is my favorite time. Like Spoon said, there are usually like 10 people in the theater. I dont mind paying $10 bucks for a movie though. I am VERY picky about which movies I see, so I hardly ever get burned, so the money is normally well worth it.

The costs to create a movie like Transformers are huge. If I see it and enjoy it, I'm glad to chip in $10 bucks.
