We'll definitely get our money's worth on this service. We signed up for the 3-at-a-time plan. There appears to be a hub right here in town, so we get our movies very quickly.

So I went with Blockbuster to give them a try again. For $10 a month I get one at a time, but I get the same turnaround as Netflix. Plus I can trade in a movie I got online at the store twice a month. So far I have been able to get all the new release I have wanted. Plus Blockbuster still rents HD-DVDs, which from what I have heard Netflix stopped doing?
There is a rumor floating around that Netflix is getting rid of their user profile feature. Hopefully that isn't true, that is one of their best features. We used to have a profile for my wife, the kids and I. Kept everyone happy and we didn't have to juggle what we all wanted next in on queue.

Basic and Digital packages both increasing $3 each and my rental fee for my HD/DVR is increasing $5/month. The VOD fees have gone to that $4.99 mark too and that's SD content. I'm thinking about going TIVO HD and using Live for any VOD shit. TIVO's shit is now cheaper than me renting from my provider. What BS. Plus I have FAR more control over my storage options. HD content on Live is like .50 cent more than my current cable VOD. Cable is just becoming very uneasy to swallow each month anymore. Nothing but increases with no end in site. I can only imagine what prices will be like in 09 after the change or when every channel is HD.

i really should join a movie plan again, i think we spend at least $20 a month at blockbuster on just 3 or 4 movies. hows demand and supply on netflix these days compared to blockbuster online, i dont wanna wait around forever trying to get the new movies

You may find you have a distribution center within one day's mail. I know when I send my movies back, the next morning, I get an email from NetFlix saying they got the movies I just sent back.
