it's true, profiles are being removed. Goes in effect in Sept, I believe the 8th. Got an email earlier this week. I had profiles setup for my parents.

I can't really say how quickly new movies come, since my que has a lot of TV stuff, old stuff, mix with new. And it doesn't bother me to get movies six months after the DVD release. If you're on a PC, you can use the Instant Watch service; you'll need to use IE7 or later, WMP, and install the Netflix player. I like the service. It's unlimited viewing with unlimited rental plans. If you really like it, you can get the Roku player for $100. I did a review; linky

ya i followed your roku writings pretty close, it was trying to suck me into the dark side. the only thing thats really holding me back is the HD. now that ive experienced hd-dvd and BD, its hard for me to watch anything in SD!

I find SD isn't bad if it is a good quality 480p; it tends to have crisp picture, just not as big.

Netflix has been pretty cool since we joined up a while back. We still get HDDVD's now and again but I think it is only because they are dual layer discs. In fact, the last one I got wouldn't play in the Add-on HDDVD player for the 360, but that's probably because I can't connect to the internet with that 360 and it probably needed an update. We ended up watching it upconverted with the PS3.
