Cocaine Cowboys

I don't know how much you guys are into documentaries, but if like them, you may want to check out Cocaine Cowboys. I heard about it on G4TV's AOTS DVD recommendation segment. I really enjoyed it. It's about cocaine wars of Miami during the late '70s to mid '80s. They have interviews with quite a few key figures of the trade, how they did stuff, and why. Kind of funny listen to one of the major enforcer/hitman for Godmother.

This penetrating and sometimes harrowing documentary from director Billy Corben pulls out all the stops to explore the many dimensions of Miami's cocaine-trafficking boom of the 1980s, from how the drug was moved and the financial impact on the city to the havoc and violence that followed in its wake. i agree with you, i'd recommend this to anyone thats into this subject matter. Very nicely told story.

Rivy (sp?), whoever that guy was, one bad dude man. And the other guy that went to the airport. Man, they were doing some very big/illegal things. Such a crazy time.

There was a site where you could watch it for free online, but the site is gone now so I couldn/t link it. It was an awesome movie though. total mindblower.
