First up was Judd Apatow's Knocked Up featuring many of the Apatow players and later in the year came Juno by newcomer Diablo Cody.
For my money, I liked Juno far more than Knocked Up. The humor was much more my style as was the indie soundtrack (Moldy Peaches and Belle & Sebastian = instant win, although Knocked Up did have one or two songs that were decent). Knocked Up was just way too out there with its crudeness and every relationship in it came across as depressing. Juno definitely had some reality-straining moments, but felt more redeeming to me. In the end, though, neither movie was amazing or in my top 10, but were enjoyable.
So, if you've seen both, which do you prefer?

| I chose Knocked Up. I just didn't like Juno, I thought it was extremely overrated and should not have have gotten as many Oscar noms as it did.
Maybe this was because I saw NCfOM the same night as Juno, but I doubt it.

It had some funny moments, but they usually came from the parent figures or Jason Bateman's character. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't. I wound up counting the "likes" the characters kept saying.
I felt it could have been much better. Knocked Up gets my vote.
