No Country For Old Men

Okay, who has seen this flick? I saw it over the weekend, and I think it's a case of my expectations being too high. It's up for all sorts of awards, but I was pretty disappointed. I don't know if I missed something or what, but the ending felt like the producers said, "Crap, we're all out of money. Cut, the end."

I loved it, but also found the ending to be....lacking.

I really enjoyed the movie, especially with a non-traditional Hollywood ending and leaving it up to interpretation. The pace was great and it made the film feel real.

However, while the last scene is playing out and listening to the final lines my mind wandered off a bit and I was thinking "How long is this movie? What time is it? Do I have to get up ear-" Boom! End credits! I was like, "Oh crap! I missed the ending." I did later find the speech at IMDB.com so I felt a little better.

I absolutely LOVED the movie. But similar to Lord Sam, I had some 16 year old idiots behind me get up and start heading out as he's giving the speech at the end and they just made a bunch of noise and sigh's, etc. I missed hearing some of it. I was pissed!

Love the movie though. Coen brothers rock!

Incredible movie! The ending was definitely different. I liked it, but I could see how most people would not (in fact, I don't know anyone who did like it, outside of those posting here that they did).

Huge Coen Brothers fan, and this is my new favorite Coen Bros. film. I truly enjoyed the entire thing, from start to finish (even the ending). I don't think it's for everyone though, but the Coen's have rarely failed me.

My whole family knows "Raising Arizona" is my all time favorite movie. I really should do some research and make sure I've seen everything they've done cause I haven't seen a bad one yet

Just ask Wonder...

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, but as Cause said, many people didnt like the ending.

One of the greatest movies ever made. Definitely in my top 5.

No one has mentioned Fargo? That's one of the Coen's best. Although they have never made a movie that was less that great.

O Brother Where Art Thou is one of my favs, I can recite every line in that movie, Raising Arizona is excellent as well.
