That was the best overview of anything I've ever seen. I'm actually happy I've never seen any of them because none of the full episodes could given me as much pleasure as that 8 minutes provided. Awesome.
Thanks for the overview mang! Maybe I'll even tape it and watch it now.
I was careful not to read anything that would give anything away!
Explanation: My wife and I decided 3 or so weeks ago to see if we were Lost fans. Neither of us had ever seen an episode, but we had heard great things about it. Currently, we are in the early part of season 2. As soon as we finish this, we'll buy season 3 and watch it. My problem is that when we finish, we'll want to watch season 4, but wont be able to since the 4 or 5 episodes that aired several months ago will be long gone. Does anyone know if those episodes will air again before the season picks up again? I can DVR all of them to give us a chance to catch up on the DVD's.
I lost faith in Lost halfway through season 2. I finished the season, but haven't watched any since. I think they've lost their minds and are just trying to be mysterious to be mysterious. It's become overwrought. My brother disagrees with me. However, that summary video makes the show seem a lot more grounded than it felt when watching it.
I have to agree Epyon. Only a little ways into season two, the show seems to be just a little too silly for me. All that crap about the unlucky numbers and the world coming to an end if they don't push a button... I'm waiting for something to make sense in all this. I figure If I keep watching, it will get better like it was earlier in season 1. Or at least so I'm told. I have no intentions of quitting now that I've invested in the DVD's, but I do hope it becomes more "grounded", as you so eloquently put it!
So apparently they are re-showing the season 3 finale tonight, complete with background info via background banners (ala pop-up video?) I'm looking forward to checking that out and also to the new season starting tomorrow. I'm a returnee to Lost actually. Like a lot of you, the show kinda lost me as a viewer (no pun intended) but i gave it another shot towards the end of season 2 and have been hooked ever since, IMO its now the best show on TV
well here's my 2 cents on the rerun of the Lost season 3 finale from last night:
I liked the banner at the bottom where they displayed different information about what was going on in the show, as well as more character info, but i'm glad they don't do it for every show. It turned out to be somewhat distracting. I found myself reading the banner more than watching the show. So the bottom line is, cool idea, but not good for an every-show type of thing. I'm glad they did it, and i'm glad they re-ran the finale. It just re-affirmed for me what a great show it is.....looking forward to the season premiere tonight!

I agree with you 100% I can't wait to see the episode tonight.
I think Season three became convoluted halfway through the season, but I think they brought it back on track. They came close to going the way of the X-Files, but I think the writers saw this, and after the hiatus, brought it back on track. The finale was genius in my opinion, and it had some largely wonderful payoffs:
1) Jack kicking Ben's ass to a bloody pulp.
2) Sawyer shooting Tom in the gut while Tom was in sentence.
3) Charlie dying (I know some loved him, but his character was over).
and most importantly to me:
4) Jack refusing to give into Ben's mind games, even if it means the death of some of his crew.
I can't wait for it to pick back up tonight. Don't forget, the recap is on first, then the new episode.
