Sheesh. That's quite a list. Sounds like he probably took one or two of them, they weren't doing the job, then probably took a few more trying to get some rest. Who knows. If that's what happened, I really feel for the guy. It could happen to tons of people.
I've had insomnia quite a bit... and you get to a point where you'll do just about anything to sleep. Then there's added frustration when you feel like a medication isn't doing anything. Throw a little Valium in there and Xanax on top of things... out like a light. For good. Tragic if that's what went down, especially if having someone just with him probably would have cured at least part of the problem.

What a dumbass thing to say. When I first read the media quote, they acted like he had counseled Ledger on drug use, and to stay away from illegal drugs like some wise old man. Turns out he was just talking about how one specific sleep aid put him out like a light. Probably a lame conversation like you'd hear at any water cooler.
