The Leading nominated films are No Country for Old Men (absolutely deserves ever nomination) and There Will Be Blood (didn't see it yet, chose Teeth over this on Sunday) with 8 Nominations each!

I'm surprised by The Golden Compass getting two nods, and Persepolis getting a nod for animated, even though it deserves it, I'm surprised by it.

Wow... in the best actor/actress and best supporting actor/actress categories I've only even heard of 4 of those films!

I guess I need to cut back on Ratatouille and Over the Hedge and try some more adult-type selections (and not just the ones Keezy sends me...)

I've been interested in watching There Will be Blood, but I haven't seen Juno yet, and I've been hearing great things about it as well. It also seemed to get quite a few nominations. Maybe we'll get to watch one of them this weekend.

There may not be a show, I was thinking that while I read the nominees. They should just have Jon Stewart host, it's so clear he can ad lib the funny!

There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men will dominated all the categories. I'm going to see TWBB tonight, so I'll have my predictions up tomorrow.

Having finally seen all the Best Picture & Best Director, I think that the Coen Bros. No Country For Old Men should win best director hands down, and There Will Be Blood should win for Best Picture. Two amazing movies this year. We tried to check out Persepolis again this weekend, but it was sold out at the Princeton Garden. I'd like to see it when I'm not tired and see if it truly deserves the animated oscar.
