Multiplayer scoring?

After friday night's great games, I had a few questions. Hopefully someone knows the answers.

When we played War, the scores seemed kinda wierd. I remember one time in particular, we were talking after the match in the 30 second period between matches... It looked like the Axis (Cujo, Swagger and compnay) had more kills and higher inidvidual scores, and yet the Allies had "won". Is the scoring for this game based entirely on the amount of time one team controls more flags? If not, what's the deal? How's it "scored" and how do they decide who wins?

I really enjoyed "War" and I think it's the perfect format for what we're tlaking about. HQ was a blast too. But I also want a little variety in our contest. What's your take on which game variants we should play?

Here are the varieties I'm aware of:
  • Team Battle
  • War
  • CTF
  • Single Flag CTF
  • Headquarters
Let's have a little debate on this.

You're exactly right on the War scoring. I believe that it's based entirely on which team owns more flags for the longest time. I think kills and individual scores are completely irrelevant.

Single flag CTF can be a lot of fun too. In order to be successful it really takes a team to work together.

I'm just glad that everyone has experienced how much fun this game can be!

I like all the different game types. I would like to see 1 of each played for victory.

I'm With DMilller, I would like to see a variety of games. Some of the matches should go pretty quickly, Like Team battle and Headquarters, but War and both CTF's can and in most cases does end up going until the time expires. It is really tough to score with so many people on a map but it makes for some Great Battles!

I agree with dmiller on that, sometimes the game went to fast and this would help recognise who trualy owned the victory

It would also show the teams ability to work in difrent situations.
