Did this change really happen?

If it did I would be willing to pick it up again just because of the fact that like many of you I hate ranked matches when you can't play with your friends. First of all because you have people who act like morons and scream and not act as a team or any other of the infinite reasons, and second of all just because it isnt fun if you don't know anyone you are playing with.
