| Bengals 7 @ Colts 21 In the First Battle of the Massive Stud Quarterbacks, Peyton Manning and the Colts eeked out a win versus the multi-weaponed Bengals. In the interest of not providing any accurate scouting report there are no stats to be shared. Actually, I really just didn't write anything down. From my 40 year old memory:
Q1: No scoring
Q2: Addai ~2 yard TD run, [Cincy:0 Indy:7]
C.Johnson ~40 yard TD reception, [Cincy:7 Indy:7] (Was it ~40, Keezy?)
Q3: No scoring. Keezy had two interceptions on long bombs. I swear I was throwing into single coverage both times. The assisting defender must've been hiding inside R.Wayne's shirt...or maybe I need glasses.
Q4: During a drive with a little over two minutes left, Keezy forced a fumble but Schlick was luuuuuuuuuuucky enough to recover it himself. Later in the drive, Addai scored from the 1. [Cincy:7, Indy: 14]. C.Palmer, victim of no clock time, was intercepted on about the 25 and it was returned for a TD. [Cincy:7 Indy:21] Cincinnati got the ball back and made short work of the field, impressively, until a desperation pass to C.Johnson was intercepted around the six yard line. Manning ran the last 25 seconds off, and ran to the locker room thank the Madden gods for their favor tonight.
We'll say the Colts were at best, plodding, and the Bengals were victims of the clock. It was fun to play, Keezy. Thanks, and feel free to correct me or post any stats. |
