I know this will get me laughed at, but when it comes to a company like Pioneer or whoever, I'd never send it in to get an upgrade, in fear of what Jons going thru.

I was paranoid to send my Parasound pre/pro in but the turn around time was a week, I expected that from a company such as Parasound. I like Pioneer products, but the possible headaches they'd cause wouldnt be worth it to me in the end. That goes for any bigger, more mainstream brand that has so called "techs" floating around out there.
