Just following up on a few I had mentioned that I've now finished or I'm far enough along I can comment more on.
Quote:
| Marley & Me by John Grogan -- kinda sappy, but a good read. Not exactly riveting, but it's a good, relaxing read. It's about a guy's misadventures with his dog.

Ended up still sappy, but overall really good. I was kinda dissappointed in that the guys seems to jump from the dog being like 4 years old to the dog being 12 or so... but hey, if that's the part that was interesting, I guess there's no complaining.

| Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs -- memoirs of a guy with a crazy childhood. I've read all of one page of this one. I just picked it up last week. Supposed to be hilarious.

I couldn't finish this book. Waaaaaay too freaky and depressing for me. I can't believe this guy's not an axe murderer. His parents should have been neutered. People like this shouldn't be allowed to produce children.

| Epicenter by Joel Rosenberg -- a look at current events and biblical prophecy. Very interesting stuff.
|
Wow, wow, wow. Boring at first, as he recounts the series of events that unfolded as he wrote a couple of books that
appeared to be fore-telling specific things about the 911 attacks and the Iraq war. But then it picks up when he quits talking about the fiction side and starts relating the current events going on to Biblical prophecy and how things might unfold over the next 10-15 years or so in the Middle East. Fascinating.
