- Go Mountaneering in a very cold environment.

- Go Backpacking for at least a full week.

- Go Spelunking. Be sure to go by yourself and watch The Descent first.

- Teach a group of kids something you know a great deal about that they could learn a lot from. (rock climbing, astronomy, whatever you might know a lot about). My dad put on an astronomy class for several home schoolers when I was in grade school. I think he ended up learning more himself than he expected, and of course you get the added benefit of teaching kids something important that they rarely learn anymore.


These are all things I dream about some day doing (except the going by yourself part after I listed spelunking... that's obviously just a joke -I just watched The Descent and it's a good one).
