I'm not going to rate the SP as I didn't care for it much (GRAW 1 and 2)

Online however is one of the best MP games this generation. Doing up to 16 player co-op missions with PGLer's is a blast.

Best way to make this series better is to use dedicated servers to eliminate lag and drop out.
