MadB - for me, I have like 5 years of family events on VHS tape, so I want to put them onto dvd. This is actually a perfect setup for doing that. Plus, I can also record right off the TV so there's another bonus.

I've also always thought it would be fun to make short gaming videos.

One thing I'm working on is making a video of my son playing baseball and during his birthdays & schooling events, too - then I can edit all of it, put chapters on the dvd, and send them to family. There's a lot of good simple functions for this.
