The good thing about HAVA is that you can play and record in HD, whereas the way you are going you cant, and on a HDTV I'm sure you know it looks like utter crap. I have some videos where I recorded the exact way you are doing through the distribution box but I didnt enjoy playing on standard Def on my LCD because it was so crappy coming down from HD, so im thinking about going with the HAVA route for my Football games.
