I personally like it better overall. The tourney system is pretty cool, and you can put your face (or something like it) on your player.
The only thing I don't care for is the player status is in list format rather than around the table like you'd expect. Sometimes it's tough to tell what's going on.
We had a lot of fun with this game last year (the 07 version) and had a pretty good poker tour. I think it'll be a blast this year as well, and it looks like we'll have plenty of participation, especially if several more pick up the game for $10.
