That commercial was in no way a "test" to see how perceptive you are, or anything remotely close to that. It was simply one way to show you how advertisers play on gender stereotypes, and most of the time to the disadvantage of the minority. There are probably thousands on the internetz right now, that's simply one that plays on the "women can flirt and get whatever they want" model of society.
It does go both ways though. I'm sick and tired of seeing the "men are idiots who can't do anything" commercials that so many electronics companies feel the need to perpetuate.
This was in Times Square over the weekend, bigger than life.
I don't know what in the frak it's selling, but it just felt wrong. |
Hmmm Lets see, My answer to the question of what tyoe of message this ad portrays, if i was in my sociology class right now would have been; Girls who wear Dolce would be so sexy that Men (plus some men who look soo gorgeous, that they almost look like a women, The one on the far left

) will want to hold you down and make love to you, thus making you feel wanted. Either that or im gonna smell it, Track down the broad that has it on and man handle her the way she wanted me too. (Maybe im sick too)
Ads are freakin mind games, most of them are soooo stupid, but are somehow still affective. I mean if you have a food commercial, all you really got to do to sell me is make it look good while the steak glistens and throw a "Mouth watering" statement in there with a low price tag and im sold. But then again half naked chicks are cool.
