I guess. My interpretation is that it was meant as a joke, and not to be analyzed at all. The mere fact that the subplot of her getting ice cream from a boy by flirting with him had nothing to do with DQ's new product showed that. I didn't get the point of it, however... from a marketing standpoint I mean. She was about to get one from her mom anyway, so it made no difference and seemed like the subplot of the commercial would have had a better effect if her mom was going to
make her share one rather than offer to buy her her own.
Now maybe we're analyzing too much.
