There is that element for sure. While I think the game is really, really good, I don't know that the actual gameplay is any better than the like of previous GTA's or Saint's Row. There are actually some aspects of Saint's Row's gameplay that I liked
better. I do remember missing the GTA:VC motorcycles in Saints Row... but now that I'm in GTA:4 I'm not as enthralled with the motorcycles. They're cool, but not as over the top. I haven't found ways to jump over buildings, etc. yet though.
