I keep it laying flat - but I'd been leaving the discs in the console & someone said that's part of the problem.

Sam - I fubar'd the disc trying to get the scratches out myself even worse (old scratch remover thing I bought years ago). I was pretty peeved about it, but my wife went out & got me another copy & I already tossed the old one in the trash.

I found out that Gamestop or Gamecrazy have a disc scratch remover in their stores & will fix your discs for like $2.00...
