There is an autosave feature that saves after every mission, but it doesn't save jumps or pigeons. And I don't think the missions coincide with the clock much, most of my missions take place at 3am.

I blew Roman off during my date too, I don't think it matters. I know there are some "moral" decisions in the game, but I don't think by not doing a mission right away anything bad will happen.
