TwoTimes, what's up with you not being a Spurs fan, man? It says you're from South Texas... you must be as hated in your community as I am in mine! (I'm in North Texas)
We went to the Mav's / Spurs game last week in Dallas, the one where Dirk got injured, and my wife and I got to wear our Duncan jerseys. We ended up being in an area saturated with other Spurs fans. I got a "Go Spurs Go" chant going, and we had several others like it, along with the "De-Fense" chants. It was absolutely great. It felt like we were in San Antonio.
It kinda sucked for my Mav's friends though. It sorta marked the point where the Spurs skyrocketed back to first, and the Mav's lost most of their potential to even make the playoffs. I really like to see them in the playoffs, as it's great for competition, and it gets my whole social group excited about basketball over the next couple months. |
I was born in the Valley, but lived in the DFW area for 10 years. I started watching the Mavs when it was Dirk, Nash and Finley. So I REALLY don't like the Spurs. They cut our playoff runs short a few times. I'm grooming my neice and nephew to be Mavs fans too. I buy them Mavs stuff all the time.
Last year really sucked, I was dating a girl who was a big Spurs fan. I had to kick her to the curb.
I moved back about 3 years ago, but I still follow the Mavs. Long live NBA League Pass.

The Mavs have a horrible record against Golden State the past few years. For the past 2 or 3 years the Warriors have spanked the Mavs. Most games by like 15 - 20.
