I'd go for 8 also, just from my experiences with it. Fun, yes - but little issues like not being able to use the cover system in spots where you should be able to, or not being able to look & shoot left, just right in some spots (or vise-versa) led to some WTF? moments.
The cool thing I like is being able to play T-hunt with the AI. Makes for some good playing if you don't have a buddy to jump in with you. Plus, I like the character models a bit better, and being able to sprint is a huge plus.
