Scheduling Tool: I've set up a tool for using to schedule the matches. Access it at
www.google.com under documents and spreadsheets. Please give it a try and we'll see if it works. You'll need to send me your email (preferably gmail) address so I can add you to the list of approved "collaborators". It only takes a second, and could save me literally like a billion years.
Rules:
- Matches will be scheduled individually between teams.
- Limited substitutions allowed, must be approved by both teams.
- Don't "stack" your team, we're all friends here, it's just for fun.
- Matches will be best of five, first to 3, Execution. See below for map selection under Format.
- Double Elimination Tourney.
Format (new!):
We'll play best of five battles (maps), first to three Execution on each map. Here's an example (Don't confuse battles within a match with rounds in the tourney):
- Battle 1: First to three, Team A picks map.
- Battle 2: First to three, Team B picks map.
- Battle 3: First to three, Team A picks map unless B is down 0-2.
- Battle 4: First to three, losing team picks map.
- Battle 5: First to three, final (and deciding) map is pre-determined.
*Don't play the same map twice, however, you CAN pick the pre-determined Battle 5 map, so it and only it can be played twice.
Predetermined deciding battle maps by Tournament Round:- Round 1: Fuel Depot
- Round 2 & Losers Rd 2: Mansion
- Round 3 (Winners Bracket Final) & Losers Rd 3: Clock Tower
- Losers Round 4: Canals
- Losers Bracket Final (5): Rooftops
- Tourney Final: Mausoleum
- Tourney Final Round 2 (if necessary): Gridlock
So, bottom line: In Round One, play first to three Exceution, best of five battles. The team that's behind gets to pick maps, otherwise alternate. The 5th and final battle, if necessary, is Fuel Depot. To avoid re-creating the room after each battle, get together with the opposing team beforehand and decide what maps you want and in what order. Then start a new room and have the host set the map order before beginning the match. (Thanks to BMGfan for this handy tip!) CURRENT BRACKET:
