| The rollar-coaster ride that are the Denver Nuggets was in full up-swing Sunday night, when they scored a league season high 168 points in a 52-point win over the Seattle Sonics. The 168 point effort is the 4th highest score for a regulation game in the history of the NBA, just five points shy of the Suns 173 point game, ironically against the Nuggets in 1990.
Here is a funny fact: the most points scored in a half this year was 84 points by the Nuggets. They did it tonight. Twice.
So, in the last three games the Nuggets have won by 22 points, 32 points, and now 52 points. Wow, are they turning things around? Well those three games were against Memphis, Toronto, and Seattle and they were all at home.
Up next for the Nuggets, a five game road trip; at Detroit and at Phily (back-to-back nights), at New Jersey, and then at Toronto and at Memphis for another back-to-back games. Then it's back home against Dallas and Golden St, and then a home and away against Phoenix.
Of course, as of right now the 40-26 Nuggets are still in the 9th spot, a game and a half behind Golden State for the 8th and final playoff spot. This season and team are going to be really frustrating when they don't make the post-season.
