| Almost all of us have been victims to the RROD. So it's not that fact he got the RROD, and had his 360 cleaned up unfortunately. It's the fact that if the case was that important to him, why send it in to turnstyle 360 wharehouse? We feel bad for the person for loosing the custom work, but there was always the risk when he sent it in. And yes, he did as much as he could to make sure he would get his 360 back in working order.
But what did the person do deserve all the extra attention? He got a boat load of crap, and he's getting something more from M$ as well.
Personally, I don't care he lost his special markings on the 360. I thought a lot of them were in poor taste; the opposite of the master chief had a lot of disparaging remarks about the 360. I see it the kids being rewarded for taking a risk and loosing. It would be like the state lottery paying a winner for loosing a winning ticket before he was able to turn it, but happen to have a picture of it.
On a side note, if M$ was nice, they would replace the 360 that are turned in with more stable units, such as the new ones that are being made. |
