Unfortunately, there are too many pros to watching movies in theaters that my wife and I still have to go regularly. Probably the biggest one is being able to watch a movie when it first comes out, and the hype is still there. Most of the time, if we let it go to DVD, we forget about it and never see it. Another one would be that funny scenes in movies are almost always funnier when you're in a room full of people laughing.
Nothing annoys me more in a theater, however, than someone talking on their cell phone, kids giggling and playing, or someone eating popcorn anywhere near me. The sound of someone eating absolutely drives me crazy when I'm trying to focus on a movie. For those reasons, I often will definitely prefer a home theater. |
