I loved the X-Files, I pretended it ended when Mulder left though, because the mythology got so muddled and silly that I just couldn't deal with it. So finally, a second film is being made, but check out this weird news.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This bit of weird news hit early early this morning. X-FILES 2 is happening after all the years of speculation. They've added Billy Connolly, Xzibit and Amanda Peet to the cast list (also remember there's a rumor of Lance Henriksen popping up as Frank Black as well).
Hollywood Reporter says the scuttlebutt is that Xzibit and Peet will be fellow FBI agents, alongside Mulder and Scully.
Pretty badass that this is actually happening. I can't wait until the first trailer! I can hear the X-FILES theme music already...
