I know, in the Gamestop I work at, our PS3 gives us a lot of trouble in the case. The Wii, 360, and the PS3 are all locked in a plexiglass case, and only the PS3 has heat issues. The funny part is that the PS3 case is the only one with extra fans in the case to remove the heat. Standing next to that display is like standing next to a space heater, it's horrid.

About the power bricks: I wasn't sure if the PS3 had a power brick since I don't own one. I know the one on the Wii is just as cool as can be. I have the one for my 360 on a special cooling rack I made from some spare computer parts. It's a small cookie cooling rack (metal grate) with four CPU fans mounted underneath with their own power supply. It definitely helps, but it still gets hot.
